Avoid These Bad Oral Habits
Many people develop bad oral habits at some point. These bad habits can jeopardize your smile and overall health. Here are some common poor oral habits that you should avoid:
Over brushing – Dentist recommend brushing twice a day for 2 minutes. Over brushing can lead to sensitive teeth and receding gums. Studies have shown that people who brush longer and harder than necessary may risk harming themselves.
Crunching ice – Don’t chew the remaining ice of your drink. Crunching ice may seem like its harmless, but, this habit can chip or even crack your teeth.
Biting nails – This bad habit can cause your teeth to crack, chip or wear down their front. It can also tear or damage your gum tissue.
