How Headaches Are Caused from Your Teeth

Believe it or not, your oral health and headaches are related. Something as simple as a cavity or infection can trigger a massive headache.

A headache is also caused by grinding your teeth at night. These problems are associated with the jaw joint, called TMJ or, temporomandibular joint disorders.

So how can you combat a headache?

  1. Bite. Correcting your bite releases stress on your jaw and muscles.
  2. Nightguard. Help prevent grinding your teeth at night.

If you suspect that one of these problems is the cause of your headache, contact your local dentist. Explain your pain, and have the dentist check your bite, jaw muscles and the TMJ.
